Jolena Yao

Background

Jolena plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Visualization at Texas A&M to pursue a future in animation. She is excited about continuing her education. Jolena has always dreamed of working in animation. Pixar’s movies in particular were intriguing due to their innovative use of the computer to create animated films. They really pioneered the way for computer animation and she finds it amazing to see how much the technology in computer graphics has improved since the Pixar movies she watched growing up. She is passionate about how it can be used to communicate meaningful messages while reaching people from all walks of life.
