In the School of LMC, we cultivate multidisciplinary thinkers and makers to lead our globally connected world. Undergraduate and graduate courses challenge and inspire students to ask consequential questions about what moves society forward in creative, collaborative, and inclusive ways. In LMC, students tackle complex issues that shape our lives by looking through the lenses of historical and contemporary literary studies, cultural, scientific, and social justice studies, creative arts, film and media, design, drama, communication, writing, and computational media (AI, games, mixed/augmented reality, interactive educational media). LMC students achieve breadth and depth of knowledge through intensive cross-disciplinary engagement to understand contemporary complexities in the context of deeper histories and cultural patterns. They learn to interpret, produce, invent, and compose across media forms with an understanding of the social context and rhetorical strategies of their creative and critical work. However students map their path through our school – from majors and minors to humanities seekers; from multimodal English courses to graduate degrees – an LMC education promotes their intellectual rigor and equips them with tools to be collaborative innovators, transformative thinkers, and exceptional leaders of the world they will help to shepherd into the future.
In addition, the School offers a number of minors for Georgia Tech undergraduate students.
