Continuing the legacy of the Ivan Allen Prize for Progress and Service, the Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage will be awarded for the first time in Spring 2011.

Barbara Stafford visiting professor in the Allen Institute for Advanced Studies
Barbara Stafford, William B. Ogden Distinguished Professor Emerita at the University of Chicago, will spend the next two academic years as a visiting professor in the Allen Institute for Advanced Studies at Georgia Tech. Barbara Stafford, the author of nine books on art history and visual culture, will participate in projects devoted to cognition and visualization in the College of Architecture, the College of Engineering and the Ivan Allen College.
Knoespel visiting senior researcher at the Center for Baltic and Eastern European Studies, Fall 2010
Knoespel will be a visiting senior researcher at the Center for Baltic and Eastern European Studies in Stockholm for the fall semester of 2010. During his time in Stockholm, he will work on the cultural landscapes that shape the development of science and technology in the Baltic region.
Knoespel visiting professor at University of Paris VIII, Spring 2011
During the spring semester of 2011, Knoespel will be a visiting professor at the University of Paris VIII. His work during the spring will focus on the ways digital technologies challenge the cultural identity of museums.
En transit selected for an exhibition at Agnes Scott College
En transit, the digital video installation, created by Sara Hornbacher, Hartmut Koentiz, and Knoespel and previously exhibited at the College of Architecture, University of Paris, La Villette, has been selected for an exhibition at Dalton Gallery, Agnes Scott College, Atlanta, Georgia, September 23, 2010.
