Conclusions on the Evaluation Instruments Used According to the survey, the evaluation tools proposed by the ICARUS Project will not give an adequate experiential background for the web-based course. On the other hand, for the nature of the course that will be taught, actual writing experience may not be a major aspect. The students surveyed expressed concern that questions and issues that can be misinterpreted or vague. It would be important to them for students to have the chance to provide an explanation for an answer given. The clarity of the questions remains to be seen. Scantron tests tend to be taken less seriously, since many students feel that they have a chance of being correct, even when they do not know the answer.
